The easiest way to reinvent a space without spending a bomb is by giving your furniture a new lease of life. Or in another case if you no longer like what you see in your furniture, how about looking at it in a fresh perspective? Painting it a new colour is by far the most cost efficient and waste-free approach. We do it so often in our projects and we’d like to inspire you to up-cycle! We’ve linked up below several useful tips & techniques if you’re new to chalk painting. Chalk painting has a distressed finish to it which gives that perfect vintage shabby-chic look.

Now you must be wondering what is the difference between chalk painting & spray painting? Spray painting is suitable for smaller pieces with a smaller surface area, as it will require more control. It gives a full matte or glossy finish depending on which you choose. We especially love how spray-painting can provide a metallic finish which has been the ‘in’ thing for a good couple of years now. This is a great way to give your accessories a face-lift, such as electrical switches, pots, hangers and even your light fixtures.
