Primarily a styling project, the couple needed help to pull the overall look together based on the design of their newly renovated home, and to incorporate some of their thoughts and ideas. In the process of styling, we selected all furniture pieces, lighting and accessories, as well as custom-designed shelves for their unique collection of toy figurines and also repurposed a pendant lamp to transform its function into a table lamp instead. The styling intent was to create a comfortable yet stylish space for the couple to live in, work, and entertain. A long solid oak table accompanied by an eclectic mix of chairs is a focal point when you enter the home. Van-Gogh’s Almond Blossom is displayed as an IXXI print on the sea foam green dining wall and complements a dynamic series of 3 New York City photo prints. A contrast in look and feel is created between the Master Bedroom and Guest Bedroom – the latter being a functional, yet quirky space for a short stay and can easily be transformed into a children’s room in future. The Master Bedroom has a subtle and desired his and her “divide” that is represented by the abstract pair of prints and different set-up to the bedside corners, all while sharing the same design aesthetics.
